In a conflict there are two sides and maybe when we talk about an external conflict, it is easier for each of the parties to divide the “fighting territory” so as to serve their own interests. Most of the time the other side bears a greater “guilt”, a greater responsibility in triggering and maintaining the conflict. And in this way, both parties feel easier, less “guilty”, less responsible. What happens though when we talk about an internal conflict?! What happens when both parties involved in the conflict are yours?! When the “battlefield” is divided between you and yourself. Furthermore, not having external sources this conflict can’t be solved from the exterior. In this case, the solution is not that one party wins at the expense of the other because both parties represent you. In this background, even the smallest decision to make leads to a fight that cannot be solved because it is not about content, but about our deeper structure. And the stress and frustration from the conflict will stimulate and bring on stage heavy artillery – somatiser. And because this is the solution to be compromised it is also hard to heal.
Why? Because both parties focus all their power on these symptoms and they become so resilient.
